Intern season is almost upon us, so here’s your friendly reminder to start interviewing undergrads if you haven’t already! Since you’ll have fresh new faces joining your team in just a few months, it’s a good idea to think about how you can introduce your interns to your team and get to know them better. Here’s our list of cool after work drinks spots to dazzle your interns.

Rock & Reilly’s

Empire State Views from balcony of Rock & Reilly's

This Midtown spot has a poppin’ balcony, if the weather’s right. If you’re a fan of air conditioning, you can stay inside and catch the hosts of FNTSY Sports Network broadcast live from the studio in the restaurant. You’ll find no shortage of TVs to watch the game and the lively atmosphere will make any new intern feel welcome! Plus, they serve O’douls if your unfortunate interns are underage!

Haven Rooftop

A bird's eye view of the outdoor rooftop space at Haven Rooftop

Another Midtown spot, Haven Rooftop is the perfect space to catch some rays and introduce your interns to the city. This cozy after work happy hour spot will let you and your team get to know your interns better while enjoying delicious bites and craft cocktails!

American Whiskey

The Rustic and Wooden interior bar of American Whiskey

This spunky spot is perfect for the intern who appreciates a good glass of whiskey (or a clueless intern who needs your expert guidance)! But leave your vegetarian coworkers at home for this one, American Whiskey has a predominately meat-centric menu that pairs nicely with a whiskey flight!

Anejo Tribeca

The basement of Anejo Tribeca which doubles as a private events space

Hit up Anejo Tribeca for some margs and guac any night of the week. Downstairs you’ll find a dungeon-esque refuge that’s perfect for a small private event if you’re bringing the whole department! You can order up some platos pequenos to share, or grab some solo dishes for taco tuesday.

There you have it, four amazing bars to wow and welcome your new interns. All of these spots are approved by a past intern too, so you know you’re getting the good stuff.
