New York City Venues with Great Happy Hour Specials
If there's one thing I've learned while living in NYC, it's how to find a great happy hour special. To me, a great happy hour special is one that has 1) cheap drinks 2) cheap appetizers/bites and 3) a long time window (ex: starts at 4pm and ends at 8pm). I hate to assume, but I'm going to guess most people would agree with these top 3 requirements. Because of this, I'm going to give you my top recommendations for New York City venues with great happy hour specials.
1. The Folly
It wouldn't be right if I didn't put The Folly on the list. I go to this bar at least twice a month because it's right near the VenueBook office and it has a long happy hour. Happy hour at The Folly starts at 12pm and goes until 8pm. You can go to lunch, get a drink, go back to work, and still come back from more drinks before the happy hour ends. If this key factor doesn't move you, then maybe the decor will. All aboard this pirate ship headed to Boozy Island. The Folly will transport you to the good ol' days of capturing skallywags.
2. Hill & Dale
Monday is easily the hardest day of the week. If you disagree, you either A) have the day off or B) lost your mind. Lucky for us, Hill & Dale has a happy hour that lasts ALL DAY on Monday. Can't make it on a Monday? That's okay, you can also come daily from 5pm to 8pm. Come for the $5 draft pints and $6 well cocktails and stay for the $1 oysters. Located on Allen Street in the LES, Hill & Dale is surrounded by amazing restaurants and bars if you and your coworkers decide to bar hop later in the evening.
If you work closer to midtown, this happy hour is for you. Charlie Palmer Steak New York is conveniently located near Bryant Park so it's easy for all partygoers to get to. You can catch happy hour EVERY SINGLE DAY. On Monday-Friday it's 4pm-7pm, but on the weekend it is all day long. Yes, that's right folks. All day. Certain cocktails are priced as low as $7 and certain beers as low as $5. To top it off you get complimentary popcorn and half off all snacks. Doesn't get much better than this.
Cheap drinks and food and a great atomosphere is really all you need at a happy hour spot. Now you have some recommendations for some of those last minute decisions. Find more great venues on our site by clicking the button below. Better start drinking now; it's 5 o'clock somewhere!
