Vegetarian Friendly Restaurants in San Francisco
It's been a while since my last vegetarian post, but I am officially back. This time around, I'm tackling the food scene in San Francisco (well, at least the restaurants on VenueBook). So, where should you host your next party if the Vegetarians are coming?
If you're looking for a great cocktail hour with some simple, delicious bites, Myriad Gastropub is the spot. There's a little something for everyone...including the vegetarians. Start with their pot o' pickled vegetables. If you like Mexican Street Corn, add some popped elote: everything you love about the popular dish but in popcorn form. Doesn't get much better than that. You can also add to the mix their deviled eggs, spiced potato chips and olives! They also have a few items on their regular menu that will please any vegetarian in your group!
Japanese food is always a great option if you're looking to please your vegetarian. If you want really good Japanese food, then Ozumo is THE option. Love mushrooms? Then you need to try the Yamabuki. It's a risotto dish packed with a variety of different mushrooms. More of tempura person? They have a vegetable tempura dish and a tempura tofu dish. You can't go wrong ordering either. Top it all off with side dish of the garlic edamame for the table and call it a night!
Sometimes you really just want some traditional bar food. And sometimes you can't find vegetarian friendly traditional bar food. Fortunately for you, Redford Bar | Eat is making that happen. You can find something on any of the menus (small plates, medium plates and large plates). Start off with The Lumpia Company: a variety of vegetarian lumpia that's sure to impress any guest. Order a bowl of the Smoked Black Bean Chili to warm up during these winter months, and finish up their veggie burger or one of their pizzas! Whatever your choose, you'll definitely leave full.
Well that's a wrap, folks. Be sure to book your next event at one of these vegetarian friendly restaurants in San Francisco!
