Venue Spotlight: Maven in San Francisco
2018 is here and with it comes updated bucket lists and resolutions that we'll give up on in two weeks. If "Eat Great Food" made it on either of these lists, then you need to use Maven in San Francisco as your checkmark. I highly encourage you to stick to this resolution!
The Goods: Food
In my personal opinion, this menu is the perfect size. I dread going to restaurants with menus that could easily be long novels. At Maven, you'll find a curated selection of small and large plates that anyone will find appetizing. If you're planning a happy hour, there are a variety of plates that can easily be shared with friends and coworkers. For smaller dinners and outings, there's an entree for everyone. The added bonus? Maven does the work for you by telling you which cocktail to order with your meal!
The Musts: Cocktails and Drinks
I can confidently say that the drink menu at Maven is longer than the food menu. I can also confidently say that this is a great thing. On the menu alone, there are 11 specialty cocktails so that means finding a drink should be easy. I mean, who wouldn't want to drink something called Mr. Wiggles? If you stop by during happy hour (5:30-6:30 & 10:30-11:30; M-F), you'll get a free draft beer with a purchase of the Maven's Burger. They are practically setting you up for success here.
The Vibes: Decor and Environment
Like the drinks and the food, the environment at Maven is simple, clean and comforting. The long, communal tables make it easy to enjoy drinks with friends and help to foster new friendships. If you're hosting an event or party, the Mezzanine is perfect. It can accommodate 25 people sitting (35 standing) and it will really be a hit in the park for the people-watchers in your group. All-in-all, Maven will impress everyone.
I've pretty much given you every reason why you should visit Maven in 2018. If you like what you see, check out their other location Mr. Tipple's Recording Studio. Click the link below to start planning your next event!
