Summer is right around the corner, which means it's time to start enjoying the warm weather! There are some things to consider when switching up the menu for summer events both big and small. Here are a few pointers:

The Dish:

The summer temperatures bring a lighter flavor to the menu. Foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and light dishes are perfect for any outdoor event. Take advantage of the colorful and freshly grown produce to decorate the table.

The Grill:

Whether you are planning an indoor or outdoor event, guests always look forward to the grilled meats and veggies during the summertime. Some easy-to-grill foods such as corn, mushrooms, steak, and burgers are perfect summer party favorites. Other suggestions are marinating fish and meats too!

The Drinks:

Any classic summer beverage starts with fresh fruits! You want the drink to feel refreshing and what better way than with fresh ingredients. One easy drink to make is fruit infused water. Slice up a lemon and add it to a pitcher of water and let it sit for 2 to 4 hours before serving. Another summer favorite is a mojito. To make a mojito, place mint leaves, a lime slice, and sugar in the bottom of a glass and muddle with a spoon to crush the mint. Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour rum and soda over the ice and stir. If you want a fruity flavor, add fruit to the bottom of the glass before adding the rum and soda.
