What is ExpressBook?
So if you haven't heard already, today (8/22) we relaunched ExpressBook. But I'm sure you're still wondering, what is ExpressBook? Previously, ExpressBook was premade packages that didn't have much room for customization. Our new ExpressBook solves for exactly that.
This new version let's YOU build the proposal. Instead of going back and forth with a venue manager to discuss beverage packages and appetizer options, you can pick them yourself.
This time around, venue managers only have 24 hours to respond to your request. We want to make sure you have time to do other things! Additionally, we will ask you to put a 25% deposit down when you submit. We do this for two reasons:
1. To show the venue manager that you're serious about booking this space and want to do so quickly.
2. To temporarily hold the space and time for you so that it shows up as unavailable to other users.
How does it work?
To access venues with ExpressBook, make sure the ExpressBook box is checked on the search page.
Once you've found a venue you're interested in, you can use the ExpressBook feature by clicking "Build your event" button on the right of the venue's page.
Right when you click in, you'll notice we've changed things up. In 6 short steps (or less depending on the event you are planning), you'll be able to build an entire event down to the food and beverage options.
After you submit a request, you can still message with the venue manager to finalize anything else you might need for your event. When the venue manager accepts the request, you two can work out the payment schedule for the remaining balance.
If the venue manager declines the event, we will send you additional recommendations based on your original request. We are always here to help you plan a great event.
