What's the Deal with Payment and ExpressBook?

Our ExpressBook feature has been around for a few months now and we hope you’re liking the changes so far! One big change that you may have noticed is that we now ask for your credit card information before submitting your request to the venue. Don’t worry, we aren’t charging you for that $5,000 private dinner the second you click submit! You won’t be charged until the venue accepts your event or sends a revised proposal back your way for approval. Even then, you’ll only be charged 25% of your event’s total and you can get a full refund if you cancel up to 14 days before your event.

A piggy bank

“But why do you ask for my card in the first place?” We ask for your card so we can show the venue that you mean business. This way they don’t get spammed with event requests and only receive qualified, serious inquiries! Plus, once you finalize all the details and are ready to book you’re all set!

If you’re not quite ready to book, you can take advantage of our “Save & Share” feature that will let you save all your event details and menu selections and share the pricing estimate with your colleagues, friends, grandma--whomever you want!

There you have it, I hope that cleared up your questions on payment and ExpressBook. If you have any other questions, feel free to write them in the comments below. To try ExpressBook for yourself, click the button below!
