Your Guide to Valentine's Day in NYC

Posted by Olivia Brendel on Jan 24, 2019 11:36:39 AM

Ah, Valentine's Day. However you feel about this possibly overrated, possibly magical holiday, your festivities might include a dinner date. Whether you're celebrating your first Valentine's Day or your 40th, choosing a restaurant in NYC can be intimidating. Luckily, I'm taking the pressure out of Valentine's Day planning and breaking down where you should eat and why.

Upper West Side: Tavern on the Green

This iconic Central Park restaurant exudes old romance. It's also the perfect location for an after dinner stroll through Central Park (if temperature permits). Tavern on the Green is exclusively offering the Chef’s Pre Fixe Menu. This is your chance to splurge and experience the Tavern on the Green enchantment.

Upper East Side: Jones Wood Foundry

This Valentine’s Day, Jones Wood Foundry is keeping decision making simple by offering just one appetizer, entree and dessert. These specialty dishes are bound to be amazing. If you and your partner are the adventurous type, put your faith in Contemporary British fare that feels like home.

Midtown West: Elsie Rooftop

Bring your date to Elsie Rooftop, an all-season penthouse bar. Come for pre-dinner cocktails or reserve a table to cozy up over tapas. Elsie is even offering a VIP package with a lavish spread of champagne, chocolate strawberries, small plates and so much more.

Midtown East: Copinette

Copinette is French for "girlfriend", how fitting! We love Copinette’s simple, yet elegant design featuring vibrant art from local artists. Choose from entrees such as Lobster Tail with Seafood Risotto and Organic Roasted Duck.

Greenwich Village: Bobo

If a romantic vacation isn't in the budget, you can still delight in the French countryside this Valentine’s Day. Bobo's three course menu is making our mouths water. Definitely don’t skip the fondue for two!

Lower Manhattan: Gran Morsi

Gran Morsi is intimate and romantic while still feeling light and airy. A special menu features the elegant and boldly-flavored Italian cuisine Gran Morsi is known for. Certainly go for the wine pairing to compliment your choices and woo your date.

Brooklyn: Meadowsweet

Health nuts and foodies unite at Meadowsweet! This farm-to-table, Michelin-starred restaurant is also featuring a Valentine's prix fixe menu that can be made vegetarian or vegan. Bonus: complimentary glasses of sparkling wine with dessert.
